Culture and philosophy
As a family-owned company, Bauder's people-focused culture originates from a strong family ethos and belief that their success is determined through their people, who are at the very heart of what they do.
Mutual appreciation is distinctive across Bauder and creates the “best team” philosophy as each individual contributes to their collective success. This also includes a willingness to develop skills and acquire new knowledge as the challenges that are faced are changing daily. The commitment from their people drives the high levels of business performance and success that they have seen over the years.
Adopting best practice across all aspects of the business by working to standards that are recognised nationally, by seeking methods which add value, by building solid and honest relationships with customers and clients, by keeping issues of Health and Safety a priority, by investing in the training and development of our people, by looking continually to the future with a focus on the environment and sustainability, and by building the business in a responsible way. They work together as a team and enjoy themselves together as a team as well.
With a philosophy and goal to ‘Aim for Excellence’ and be the standard against which others are measured - Bauder have split their philosophy into 3 elements: Best Team, Best Customer Service, Best Continuous Improvement.
Within their Best Team Philosophy, there are 7 themes:
- Change and Development
- Fun and Enjoyment
- Mutual Appreciation
- Communication
- Commonly agreed goals
- Trust
- Best Leadership
Best Leadership
Bauder have recently launched the leader-leader concept across the business, which in a nutshell encapsulates the idea that everyone across the business has the capacity to act, think, and be a leader within the business. The concept, outlined by ex-nuclear submarine and author David Marquet, is based on a number of principles/pillars (control, competence, clarity & courage) which aims to recognise that everyone in an organisation can lead and contribute to the success of that organisation, and therefore empowers people to act and exceed their goals.
